Rivet A/C on a 55 Flying Cloud - how?

Would someone with experience please tell me anything I need to know about the install of an A/C on a 55 FC.
I am familiar with A/C install but need to know model specific installation info.
It has 3 vents, and I have seen others use middle vent, is there any modification required?
Wiring options?
Any info you can pass along will be very helpfull, thank you.

The two pieces of information that I have in my files indicate that additional bracing must be added, and that a circuit and wiring must be added for the air conditioner. I don't know the precise details, but one of the listmembers on Hunter's Airstream list on Yahoo had the Airstream factory install an air conditioner on a '53 or '54 Flying Cloud - - if you don't get a more definitive response here, you might try posting an inquiry to that list.

It might be worth contacting the factory and inquiring as to the specifics regarding the added bracing as well as suggestions about routing of the wiring.

Good luck with your project!

Kevin
