Any one tried a Coleman Mach 3 P.S. (Power saver)

All--

Been off the forums for the last two months trying to buy a new home for the Airstream... and hopefully it will let us live with it as well.

I have an original Armstrong and want to get a more modern unit. Almost all of the 13.5K BTU use 15-17A of AC. I was just googling and found this unit... RV Protection Products:Coleman Air Conditioners.

It is suposed to use less power at only 10.2A but offer the same cooling, which seem too good to be true. It's looks to be new and available at several poplular RV supply sites.

Anyone else seen this or bought one? I tried looking for the factory Coleman-Mach website for a manual but no luck.

You will need a drain pan with that unit.

Unfortunately, none exist.

I seem to recall someone saying they were able to get a plastic drain pan through this company. Might be worth the phone call if you really want that unit and don't want water running down the side of your Airstream when it's in use....

Andy/Gary--

I was too quick on the return... I was trying to find a schematic of the Coleman-Mach 3 PS, but no real luck. I did discover the website for Coleman-Mach is www.rvcomfort.com

The product blurb is:
http://www.rvcomfort.com/pdf_documents/mach_3_ps.pdf

and some of the specs are:
http://www.rvcomfort.com/pdf_documen...data_copy3.pdf

I don't like the idea of water running down the side and it's almost as tall as the old Armstrong... but only need one Honda UE2000i would be nice to run the AC. I would not find the water drain holes on the specs to see what a pan would need to look like.
