Air Conditioner fan speed question?

2008 safari ac fan speed is to high even set on low. Called ac manufacturer and they say it is because of heat pump (which we don't use). Anyone else having same issue?

We had a Dometic Penguin 15,000 btu heat pump installed last summer at Jackson Center. It does blow loud and hard on low fan speed as compared to our old 11,000 btu air conditioner. Found out last week that the heat pump cycles off for defrost every 25 minutes when outside temperature drops below 42 F. I thought the heat pump was failing when it shifted into defrost mode the first time.

I can live with the loud fan, the performance of the AC and Heat Pump has been wonderful as compared to the performance of the old AC and keeping up with propane for the furnace.
