AC Vibration

So we turned the AC on today and it sounded and felt as though it was going to vibrate right off the roof. It is 6 years old and has always run like a charm. I checked the breaker to be sure it had power and that was good. Quick look at the roof showed nothing through the cowling. Anyone out
there ever had this happen?

When we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago, if I sat on the left hand side of our front couch, it felt like i could feel a vibration from someplace, could have been the AC but it seemed to be working okay.... not sure but perhaps i didn't have the stabilizer jack properly engaged on that corner. but it kind of felt like a little tiny earthquake feeling.

Maybe tomorrow I'll climb on the roof and take the AC cowling off to see what I can find

I'd go with the Mud Dauber check. A good hose will clear that.

Usually after you remove the petrified mouse from the blower the vibration stops

Mud daubers did the same thing to my squirrel cage. I took the AC cover off, cleaned dirt from all areas and then prayed everything with water. I run the AC off my Yamaha generator once a month to exercise the gen as well as throw off any new mud dauber nests they might try to build. So far no problems for several years.

Great tip - we'll run it every month to be sure - thanks!

That should have been SPRAYED, not prayed! Of course, I pray I don't have to go through that again anytime soon.
