Ac upgrade

I would also like to replace the control knobs on the AC unit with a wall mounted thermostat so it could be set at a desired temperature. The unit is a late model Coleman. A heating/Air tech said I needed a relay kit of some kind. I have seen it done but don't know how it was done. Any thoughts? Thanks

I've used a digital household thermostat for our old A/C. Just disconnect the old one, connect the new one, and put a battery in it. You will need to decide whether you want the blower fan to be high or low when you hook it up. You'll only have one fan speed. I chose "low" when I hooked ours up.
