Here is the AC unit in the bathtub. It has wheels and weighs about 45 pounds. Not too bad to move if I want to.It has only been 80s here so not a true test but it did cool the trailer to 68 in a short time.
90s with full sun will be the real test.
Happy with is and you can barely see the vent through the back window.
finally hit temps in the mid to high 80s today. The Airstream was pretty hot inside. With the ac on 73 it cooled down quickly.. SO glad.
I am struggling a bit with the vent out the back window. I think I will put a sheet of plexiglass in there instead of the screen and attach the vent to it with small screws. That should work and I can remove it in the cooler weather.

If you had a hidden place to cut a hole in the floor and run your hose and drain there, (with a screen to keep critters out), that would be a spiffy setup!
I saw an install on the web with a sheet of plexi in the back window, same as my plan. Looks good. My trailer has a plexi window that has lasted well for more years than I have owned it...6
bought the plexi for the portable ac unit vent today. 20 bucks from Lowe's. Cut to size.
I got new screen clips to hold it in the window frame, and will cut a small hole for the vent hose and put foam insulation around it.
Should work well. The air conditioner is very quiet.
I saw the same models at Lowes while there, quite a bit more $$.
