Only getting a Hummmmmmmmmm....
1. Remove exterior cover.
2.Take out your leaf blower and give the AC a good blasting.
3. See what comes out of that fan ..Freak out,... Don't fall off the roof!!
4.Lube all moving parts and replace cover.
5. Go inside and with fingers crossed and hit the power up switch.
6. Yes...it fired up!

Follow up...
This weekend camping in all this humidity we fired up the AC and got considerable dripping inside so off to work I went....
Took the main AC cover off...than the inside coil cover off (big cover closest to the front of camper under AC cover)....there I found another nest ...nobody home thank God. What I did find was damage to the styrofoam drainage trough. The little bugger chewed it all up along the edge allowing all the condensation to drip right in. What I did then was cut a strip of aluminum flashing about a 1" wide to form a dam so that the water will flow down the path to the black drain tubes. I then siliconed it up good. Snaked the drain tubes to make sure no junk was clogging that up.
Hope the pics help someone down the road with pesky critters!
Oh...one more thing....Can anyone tell me what the blue and white wires are for coming in from the curbside? They looked like they were suppose to be capped off together but after further inspection the blue wire was never stripped back so no connection to the white...Any info greatly appreciated!
Thanks

On my '73, all of the 110v AC wire is Romex. All of the DC wire is individual runs. White is always ground, 12v is always colored jacket. I can't imagine why it would be in that part of the ceiling, meaning it may have been an extra run of wire that was not used for some reason down in the cabin and inadvertently left underneath the a/c opening.
Maybe one of the HVAC guys will chime in. There is DC wiring associated with the AC unit itself, maybe left over from that installation. Either way, I would leave it alone.

my guess is that it would be used for a roof vent fan if the ac was NOT installed.
i agree white ground blue hot.

Speaking of AC maint: where can I get some of that charcoal/sponge stuff? When I took mine apart to clean it it disintegrated...
Thanx, Bill

Charcoal-colored filter material
Hey Bill - you can get that filter material at Home Depot. It is standard A/C filter material. It's inexpensive - buy a sheet, cut it to size, and you'll have plenty left over for another project.

Another possiblity may be that the trailer originally had an A/C thermostat, and an A/C that didn't use it was installed. (Or could use it, but the installer was lazy.)

Have you tested to see if either of your wires has power? Looks like 12vdc wiring rather than 120 volt though....but use a multi-meter that can self adjust and read either ac or dc voltage to avoid damage to the meter.
I would alos guess it was probably for the roof fan which might have been eliminated by the install of the AC unit...might be able to use it for an additional light or other 12vdc need close to the area.

That was my thought when I saw the wire. If it is live use it for a light. One more ceiling fixture never hurts.

It's for frying up AC critters. 120 volt would be too much and char them to a briquet. 12 volt is just right, 3 minutes = medium rare, depending on weight.
