ac identification

I am wondering what kind of ac unit is in my 64 tradewind. I haven't had the top shroud off yet. Inside I have a wall mounted thermostat separate from the furnace control. I also have a toggle switch on the side of the unit with low, high, and off. The fan is visable from below and there appears to be a 2 piece evaporator, frontward and rearward of the fan. I am sure this is original because there are instructions on the inside of the ward door that mention the toggle switch. Was there anything used besides armstrong ac for that year?

Thanks, Mike

My 62 is Dometic. It looks like a big cube thing.

If it has a round intake filter at the bottom of the inside pan, then you have an Armstrong AC, model # TAC-110, and it has a 10,000 btu output, when working correctly.

Thanks Andy. It looks like it had a round filter. I read that the armstrongs are still servicable. Is that round filter still available or will I have to make something?

Mike.

The original filter was a foam material, that was sort of thin, like a cheap air filter, and it was only 1/4 inch thick.

That AC is good, and can still be serviced with ease.
