Well we paid all that money for both manuals and they do no show the ac or it's drainage system.

We took the shroud off, cleaned out, blew air pressure up the line, could
hear noise but not feel air. Could not find opening in unit (on top of trailer)
where water drains down.Do you have anything or can you tell us where the
opening is. We have tried clearing it from the bottom of the drain underneath edge of trailer with a 50 foot metal thing like a drain cleaner, we
have tried air pressure (125lbs) non of this is working. HELP!

Depending on model of A/C, the black rubber drain line typically runs between the outer and inner skin down the left (street) side of trailer. Starting point at top is usually at edge of plastic drain pan around base of A/C, but it may also be inside of 14" square foam "gasket" seal, and so can't be seen from outside... Ours drained from outside, since foam gasket itself was source of leaks inside trailer onto floor under unit. It leaked water onto floor when it rained... As painful as it sounds, you may have to remove sheet metal and plastic grills from inside and below to get at tubing...

The water from the AC goes into a drain pan. You cannot see the area where the water collects and then drains out.

If the water is drain, leave it alone, as you could disconnect the drain line from the pan.

Also, if you remove the interior AC shroud, you will see where the drain line connects to the drain pan.

Andy we removed the shroud and couldn't see any drain line connection. We have 1980 Excella

You must remove the "interior shroud", the one that is "inside" the trailer.

You should see a black plastic tubing connection to the bottom of the pan. That tubing is on the road side of the 14 x 14 cutout.

I am assuming the AC that you have is the original Coleman.

You won't see anything from the top of the AC.

Well I just found the information section in the manual but it does not show location of drain. We are going "inside" as suggested to see if we can find the beginning.

Doesn't look like ours but we may not have gone deep enough.

We took the inside shroud off and all we saw was a metal box with two large wires on the side. It is bolted in on both ends. Are we suppose to remove the bolts?

Alice, although my unit is new, I have been in the inards of my ac to try and rectify a humidity problem. The bolts you describe are holding the bottom mounting portion of the unit, view it as the bottom half of a clamp. Remove the bolts and drop the bottom section. Make sure the power is off. Don't know what you will see but you must do this to get access.

Alice, I suspect yours is identical to ours. Once the inner plastic shroud is off, look up on the street side at the front, where the large metal tube of wires goes into the metal box (about 3 inches square) which houses the switch mecjhanisms. Put your hand above near where the wires enter the back of the box, and you can just see a small black rubber tube held on with a hose clamp. Good hunting. Nick.

Alice, re. the above posts, on mine there is no need to remove the large clamping bolts to drop the inner metal sheet. Just look above where the metal tube containing the wires goes into the back of the control box. I looked for this drain tube connection over a couple of years, and eventually traced it just by luck. Once you catch sight of it you'll wonder how you missed it. Mine is a Coleman Delta TX.

My husband may kill the a/c before we find the hose. He went outside, put me inside with shroud off and electicity off. He put water up the lower outside drain. It had no trouble coming in trailer.

Put shroud & electricity back on, a little while later water running down ourside of trailer.

So, now that I have read latest post, when he gets back from store, we will try this again. After we do find the opening, what do we do, try running air through it? We tried that from the outside, 125 lbs. and could hear a little air. But seem still mostly clogged up.

If you are sure the round tube that runs from the tray under the coils is clear from top to bottom, then I would think either the tray is blocked or the coils are blocked and not allowing water to drain into the tray, then into the tube, then ouside the trailer.

Alice, this thread describes the procedure to access the tray, clear out the area around the drain tube, and fit a new gasket:

You will need to read the whole thread to get the idea, particularly the last post about cutting slots in the gasket. The tray is an Airstream part, which is sandwiched between the roof unit and the internal unit. It can only be accessed when the roof unit is removed or tilted on edge, after the internal unit has been removed.
