AC Cover is loose! ????

Another one of our 'fixits' is the cover of our AC unit. It has a recessed area in the center top and below a wire grid is about four screws holding it there....but around the outer edge, where it touches the trailers body it looks like a place that I would glue with some lexel...plus there is dust-n-dirt under it too...I know we will be removeing the screws and lifting it to clean it out real good underneath...as you can see there is a heavy welded peice we use to hold it down in case it gets too windy...Tell me what you all think?

There are 4 screws that hold that AC shroud down.

Make sure the screws have large washers under the heads.

Do not install any screws thru the bottom into the shell.

You may cause water leaks if you do.

You almost do.

I mean really, we are only a couple of states apart, or so.

But, we are as close as your phone and/or computer.

I think with my luck these days.. a gust of wind would knock of that steel hold down and scrape all the way down the side of my trailer.. thats with my luck anyhow.

....we are no.t through with you yet Andy, there are still minor repairs...and you know that window should be here wednesday...ha ha! thanks again...that 'metal thing' is a handmade 'primitive type' step (you see it upside down) But is used to ordinarily scrape the clay-ish mud we are famous for, next to the front door. It has to weigh in at least 20/25 lbs. We had moved a few blocks over to another shop and needed something to put up there as we were not sure of how exactly well the cover was anchord...ancord...an...chorded...darn, there's another one of those words...anchered? And yes we will get it down soon, but remembe we are in Tornado Alley.

I felt one of your '4.0' tremors in Hollister, Ca. About seven years ago...what a wild trip...I thought I heard a deisel truck coming along with the jelly feeling in my knees at the same time...
