Well, I will try to submit a warranty claim and see how that goes.

Oh, and I also noticed that the fan only works on hi when the AC is in cool mode. Setting the fan speed to med or lo has no effect. If I change from cool mode to fan mode, the fan settings work as expected.

There's definitely something not right with that AC.

Yeah, before it got removed, pretty sure I saw "Goodyear Marathon" stenciled on the side...

The filters are not clogged.

Set the thermostat down to 60 degrees.

FYI:

2016 Second Air Conditioner not cooling:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427/2016-second-air-conditioner-not-cooling-149434.html

Just a question on ducted air units: does anyone have info on how to clean the filter on these?

The manual doesn't really say.

Or do I just vacuum the inlets and call it a day?

Isn't there an A/C mfg. instruction book in your AS briefcase with all the other little pamphlets? There should be something on the intake air filter(s) IMO.

Update: Well, it seems the reports of the untimely demise of my Dometic AC unit were greatly exaggerated.

The folks at Colonial RV Service sent me a reset procedure for the thermostat. And guess what? It is now working. It took three tries, but I finally got it to work through the night. I'll test it one more night before I declare victory, but it's blowing ice cold air.

Yay! I woke up the morning and the AS is sweating like a pig - condensation. Ahhh, the joys of RVing...

Reset procedure? Any chance of a summary of what this is?

A/C not cooling as I think it should

1. Go to each zone and select mode until it says “OFF”
2. Now turn the thermostat Off
3. Hold Mode and Zone at the same time
4. You should see the screen say “Init"
5. Release the buttons and turn the thermostat on
6. Turn on the AC that is having the issue and make sure the fan is on Auto
7. If the AC blows cold, then everything is okay but if not there may be an issue with the control board or the AC unit itself.

I have to wonder why Airstream doesn't just use a separate and simple thermostat in each zone?

It isn't like it is a long walk between zones....

Superat stultitia.
