Question A/C in a Land Yacht Sovereign

my airstream has an a/c with a thermostat on the wall to turn on and off
and regulate temp and all that. it does not have a panel on the a/c.
the outside cover is gone and i dont see any type of name on the inside of trailer. there is a vent in the bathroom floor but i dont see any vents or anything anywhere else. I may need to replace the a/c unit. if my a/c guy cant fix it.

what do i do ? do i have to get on top of trailer to see what the brand name is ? and can i replace with a non-ducted a/c if i need to ?

help me please

If it is the original it is probably an Armstrong. Do you know if it works?
You can get a new shroud for the outside and may be able to get an inside cover from an RV salvage yard.
There are many who say these units are better than the new ones and can be repaired. Most RV repair shops won't do anything other than replace it. But you may find an air conditioning shop (residential or commercial) that is willing to repair it.

Can you post some pics of the inside? You may have to remove a filter or something to locate the nameplate, but it should be on the inside.

Inland RV caries fiberglass replacement AC covers. Scroll down the page and click on the thumbnail photo to enlarge the image. They sort of scrunch (that's a technical term ) their photos into a square format so all the thumbnails are the same size. they (the thumbnails) look a little strange, but the larger photos look right.

If you give them a call, they can advise you in identifying what you have.
