A/C help

Hoping for a little help here. The A/C in our MH has a "funky smell" and then after a few minutes the breaker trips. Any help on what we should be looking at or for here?

Sounds like motor windings getting hot, possibly the combo evaporator, condenser motor.
Most likely a shorted field winding.
