Unhappy '83 Soveriegn Compressor Problem

The compressor on our Coleman 6759 series a/c will not start when we turn the unit on. There were no indications of any problems and the unit was working perfectly until yesterday. I know a/c diagnostics is like opening a can of worms, but could this be something simple like a relay? I removed the lower panel under the ceiling shroud, but can't see any electrical components that could be replaced. Are they under the shroud outside? Very frustrated as we just bought the trailer. Please help! Thanks! Fred

you might want to check the thermostat inside the cowling. This is very easy to do if you are handy with a multi meter. Mine was going bad so i adjusted it and then ordered a new one off ebay.
