I will check my 2015, but brown sounds like a product John's Mansville and others produced years ago called Mineral Wool. Good insulator, good sound deadening product and does not move as much as the Owens Corning Pink, which in my opinion would have a tendency to shift and possible slide down the side walls of the trailers. Not sure why they don't use foam, I am thinking it could be blown in, let try, tried anyway one needed with a box cutter and then interior panels installed.

Never sold foam, but did sell all types of insulation way back when and it's still the same today as in the sixties.

Used 2014 vs new 2015

The 2015 models are about $4,000 more than the 2014. So, the difference is only about $6,000. I would think another $3,000 - $5,000 off the used 2014 would be more in the "good deal" category.

Thinking about trading in our 2014 International 27ft. FB. For ducted air. Ours AC cools fine, but sounds like my diesel tow vehicle😁. I just may take the plunge.

Trading only to get ducted a/c is your choice. However, I am certain there is a way to quiet the current a/c for far less money. It would reduce headroom by about an inch, but should cost very little if one is a DYI type.

There are a couple more options and features that may push people to the 2015 models. They have the See Level monitor system, which is a vast improvement over the Micropulse. There is also the option of the power awning, though that can be installed by the dealer on an older model. The factory 16 inch tire/wheel option is also good, though again it can be done either DIY or by the dealer on an older model. The newest of the new, this year so far, is the directional vents for the ducted air. You can direct the air flow toward or away from you, and even turn off a vent. Those vents can be ordered to replace the "open" ones on the earlier 2015 models.

I completely agree. We love our new 2015. The ducted air makes a very noticeable "quiet" difference. The added roof depth helps keep the trailer cooler overall in direct sun. Coming back to a hot trailer we run both zones then after just a short time turn zone 2 off. The new monitors actually work which they did not on our new 2012.
