Make sure the tank bypass is set correctly.

Went thru the opposite when ours was new.

The "thermostat" is under a foam insulator,(two wires go to each), on the front of the tank, available at most RV stores. You will get the temp sensor and ecu packaged together. The sensors just mount to the side of the tank, under the silver discs. Clean mount surface well with steel wool or green scrubby before mounting.

I knew that was coming S.T.

I agree. Bypass must not be correct. Had similar issue.

Also, why would you need to adjust the water heater if the water is already hot (hot water heater opposed to just a water heater)

BTW, there are no adjustments possible to increase or decrease water temp the water heater provides...it's a standard factory setting.

On my 25er the bypass is accessible through the curbside storage door. On the 25 C (which is what I have) the tank and bypass controls are to the right once you are in the storage compartment.

They bypass does just that, it has the ability to open and close valves that bypass or include the water heater in the water supply line. If it's not fully open or closed or if it is in bypass, you won't see the proper temperature on the hot side.

The bypass is three valves.
One cold shutoff, one hot shutoff and a crossover valve connecting the hot and cold. Sounds like the hot and cold are open as well as the crossover which should be closed.
