1965 Safari Air Conditioning Install

What Fun! The UPS man just delivered the Carrier AirV for the Safari. I searched the forums and have saved all of the valuable info on installation. One unanswered question, Just exactly where does the rooftop unit go? I have three roof vents and it doesn't appear that it will install between them. The center vent location looks appropriate but I know that its not for a/c installation. Is there some sorce for this information, perhaps a template or something?

Thanks for all of your advice and valuable information

Gene.

Call Airstream customer service at 877-5966505

The wire is already in the ceiling.

DO NOT install the AC in a roof vent.

Airstream can tell you how far back from station "0" the wire is located.

Station "0" starts at the beginning of the awning rail.

You will cut a hole in the roof at that measurement and fish for the wire.

Then you can open the hole up to the 14 x 14 inch requirments.

You will also need to add two horizontal stringers from the mian bow forward and rearward of the hole you cut.

The other end of the wire is behind the circuit breaker panel.

There is "no" drain line within the shell.
