1949 Byam Burner questions

My 1949 trailer has a Byam Burner heater in it. I have been told that this device is adapted from the marine market and heats water and air. That is all I know other than the fact that there is a robertshaw grayson gas valve on it. Does anyone know how they are constructed and work and where I might get parts to complete mine? ( I am assuming that parts are missing based on a threaded fitting with nothing on it)

proceed cautiously! I would suggest that you ensure there is a Thermocouple to shut down any gas if the pilot goes out.
