Torched And Freezing

My conventional oven developed the same problem of a cracked line with propane leaking as several others have while I was home in December. I did not have time to return to AOA for a repair before returning to work.

My only option was to turn off the propane and use a space heater and my electric hotplate..

It created a situation I had not considered.

I returned to AOA yesterday. The repair was make and the crew installed a manual shutoff under the stove top. This will enable me to cut off the propane to the stove only and continue to run the furnace should such a situation occur in the future.

Of course the fridge has a manual cutoff for the propane if it should develop a leak enabling me to take the same steps to maintain the furnace operation.

Nothing lost, nothing gained.

good report shaker...

so the guys at aoa are still doing good deeds and reliable fixes...

for those NOT aware of the gas line issue,

here is ONE of the threads on this topic with good info and excellent pictures...

this issue is SO IMPORTANT and so specific that it should be a sticky somewhere...

and with a real vehicle assembly plant this would be a RECALL

and there would be a STANDARD fix made available...

all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.
