Hi All
Does anyone have or know where i can purchase the knobs for the gas burners on a '70 overlander, its a 4 burner cooktop, but all the new ones I have seen are 2 or 3 burner. I don't even know what brand as I can't find a label anywhere. Thanks for any information.
James
James,
Do you have a single knob that you could take a picture of and post it? I know I did have some in my shop and others may too, but we don't necessarily know what they came from.
Could the stove be a Majic Chef that far back?

Have no intention of arriving at the grave safely, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, throttle in the other, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!"
Yes, Magic Chef could be that far back. Our stove is a Magic Chef and we have a 1963 Bambi....
Might check Vintage Trailer Supply... I think they might have replacement knobs that will fit the size and shape of the rod. (I may be dreaming about this too.... )
It is more than likely a Magic Chef. Check your local appliance parts house, they will have knobs that will fit. May not look exacty like the orginal, but they will work better than a pair of vice grips

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
Yall are right! Its a magic chef, Its hard to read the model number though
I read it as T440-1 but the "T" must be wrong because that model can't be found. I will continue to research.
thanks again for the help
James
James,
Take a picture of the whole stove, somebody can probably ID it that way. Is it just the cooktop or the whole thing? If it is the stove top, I wouldn't be suprised if it is the same model as what is in my 1975.

Try cherokee Rv salvage in colorado ,you can google the name to get the website or go to vintage travel trailer link library and find them and some other RV salvage places ,cherokee had two airstreams in for parts a couple weeks ago ,just got them in they said.
There are magic chef knob sets listed in the big RV Parts and Accessory book that almost all big RV dealers have in their stores . The part no. is 73-8051 , price in 2000 was 15 bucks . Good luck
Here is a knob from the oven, it fits on the stove but I don't know if its the same style but it doesn't matter to me. The hole is about 3/8 of an inch.
Sorry I missed your call, please call again Richard!
thanks
James
