Check the wiring back into the wall. They rough cut the inside skin and do not protect the wires - chaffing will cause a short when towing. That's what I found with my heater when it kept blowing fuses. How much can a piece of rubber edge guard cost?

Stove hood fan/light

My first post since getting my AS. Lots of great suggestions and ideas. Have a 2013 25RB and absolutely love it. Went to Radio Shack and picked up a 5 amp fuse per suggestion on another post about the fan. Never would have thought to take the filter screen off and lock for a fuse. Saved me a trip to the dealer and that is always good

Howdy!

When it blows next time, increase the tension on fuse to ensure good contact...

Welcome aboard! Show some pix if your AS(Air Stream)!

Peace

Range hood dead - fuses OK - no clue

We have had several blown fuse incidents which only happened when both the range hood fan and lights were used simultaneously. This was becoming an annoyance and an inconvenience so we elected to replace both halogen bulbs with LED units. They use much less current and generate far less heat. So far so good - no more blown fuse issues. I liked it so much I changed the bulb above the outside door to an LED strip. Ordered both from LED4RV.

Range hood

When fuse blows, do you lose both the fan and lights. Trying to figure out if I need a fuse or the motor for the Baraldi range hood vent.

Well, our range hood fuse finally died. It lasted 5 years before finally biting the dust.

The fun began when I tried to find a replacement fuse. The local Autoparts stores had nothing that was the physical size, but our NAPA store said to check out the local builders supply. It turns out they're a Traeger BBQ dealer, and Traeger uses that size fuse in a 5 ampere rating. I believe there was a thread that quoted AS as recommending using the larger rating. Hope I don't go up in smoke.

So, if you can't find the fuse look for a Traeger dealer.

After changing out the halogen bulbs to LED I have gone three years and counting on the same fuse without incident. In my opinion the problem was the relatively high current draw when both the halogen range hood lights and the range hood fan were used simultaneously.

Yep, the 5 amp fuse works fine and you can find it on amazon.... think I paid $5 for 10 of them. If I mention them at a rally, and I usually give one away. Someone always has a blown fuse that is inobtanium.
