Smile Ovenette wanted

I have been tracking several non-electric "ovenettes" on ebay. I bid on one but it sold for over $100.00. Too rich for me. Does anyone have an ovenette that they would like to sell? I am looking for one that has the pie pan, cake pan, and roaster-not too concerned if it doesn't have the muffin tins.

Thanks,
Kathy

Keep an eye on the Classified section on here (look at the top row of tabs on this page).

There's one for sale there now, although it's in Caleefornee-ya... Click here.

You may need to log in on that page with the same login you use here.

Good luck!

We just purchased one after seeing it in the 70's Byam Store Catalog that someone posted a couple months ago. My opinion - look for one that's incomplete and it will go for much less. The main thing is that it have the rack and the roasting pan - you can add back the pie and cake pan from an antique shop in time (no a standard pan won't fit it I tried) and the muffin tins if you want. The roasting pan is such an odd size you'll not find something to replace it with I don't believe. Paid $37 for ours - couldn't believe the complete one that went for $112.50.

Yes, the incomplete ovenettes go for much less. Just be sure to get an intact base and cover with a thermostat.

Take a look at my ovenette post in the Stella's Kitchen section. My last post was on substitute replacement pans that can be purchased quite reasonably.

I actually purchased the anodized pan although I have the original meat pan. I find the new anodized pan superior to the original since it does not react with acidic ingredients. I also find the silicone cupcake cups easier to use and clean than the original aluminum cupcake pans.
