The original stove vent motor is still available.

Please call us, is specifically prohibited for a vendor.

However, since you bought the part from us, please call us for the instructions.

Ask for Greg.

Skip the above message in post # 18.

Fan removal and replacement.

1. Remove filter.
2. Disconnect cable and open shutter.
3. From outside trailer, remove screws securing fan to mounting bracket.
4. From inside trailer, lower the fan assembly, disconnect wires.
5. Reverse procedure for installation.

My fan didnt work I could not get oil in to where it needed to go. So I changed the motor for a 2 speed motor that was in a portable 12 volt dash board fan, added a 2 way switch and now I have a 2 speed stove vent

Ok, we called Greg and he told us some pointers..we installed the new motor which had two wires (black and red(hot)) coming from it...then we went inside and revealed this...my hand holding these wires..that lead to the switch (pushclick button) the wires with the yellow cap are still right there not really knowing what they were...also the old motor-the wires coming out of it were burnt/melted...NOW WHAT!

the red black w/yellow wire nut feeds power to the switch hook the new motor to the

white [-] and black from switch[+] sounds like the old motor cooked. You could test

your switch, with a test light or a volt meter to prove that you have power and that

your switch works.Good luck

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...well we sort of stopped right at attempting to hook up wires...nothing coming on yet...Are there any diagrams available...Greg said to leave those two wires capped in the middle (red and black) and we hooked up according to his instructions but nothing happenned yet. so if Andy or Greg comes back to this' please add any other tips. and this goes for the rest of anyone that might know...I am sure its got to be something simple and right under our noses...lol

One of the motor wires goes to ground.

The other motor wire goes to the switch.

The wire on the other side of the switch goes to 12 volts DC.

Perhaps a fuse is gone.

OK, I'm curious that this thread died without resolution. Did RedhawkerII ever get his fan to work? Did he buy and install a new fan without ever checking to see if he had fire in the first place? RHII are you out there?

vent fan/oven

In my 65 caravel, I had 2 wires and no fan. I went to northern hydraulics and bought a 5" computer server fan( $6), made some mounting tabs to fit the pipe, hooked up a switch and it sucks like a champ. most of those computer fans are 12V already. joq q in minnesnowda
