Oven door glass discolored

Any suggestions on cleaning or replacing the Magic Chef oven door glass? I have searched the forums and apparantly streaking of the door glass is common but there were no solutions for fixing it. I took the glass out of the door it appeared to have had oven cleaner or some other cleaning solution drip down from the window opening removing the black paint as well as some of the silver lines on the glass in streaks. I thought that I would remove the rest of the black paint like material and silver lines and replace the glass in the door clear. Paint stripper easily took off all the black (it was pretty loose to begin with) but the stripper did not touch the little silver lines. I tried a razor scraper as well and that didn't work. Right now I have it soaking in oven cleaner in a plastic bag overnight. What the heck if oven cleaner took some of the stuff off maybe it will do the rest. If not does someone have a solution for this outside of having a glass shop make up a new tempered window?

From the homemade telescope community I found a recommendation to use printed circuit etchant commonly sold in pint bottles for a few dollars. It is a ferric chloride solution and will stain most everything it contacts, also removes chrome plating from plumbing fittings, and damages stainless steel sinks. They also said 6%-8% concentration of HCL (hydrochloric acid) with a small amount of CuSO4 (copper sulfate) worked very well.

The mirroring serves a purpose to help cook things evenly by bouncing heat back into the oven with such a huge door glass insert, and since my oven has peeling mirroring that looks a little like tinsel hanging in there that I may try to even the appearance out by reducing the number of stripes to leave only undamaged ones...

Discolored oven door glass

Wabbit - thanks for the suggestion, I thought about using an acid solution that would eat the metal but not etch the glass as you suggested. The actual opening or sighting area into the oven is a lot smaller than the door, maybe 4 by 8 inches and that is a two sided glass chamber that the outside glass is suspended from by an inner steel liner which also retains the fiberglass insulation for the rest of the door. So I don't think those little silver lines serve any purpose beyond decoration. The oven cleaner over night did not do a thing except make the glass very clean after a fresh water rinse. I have reassembled the door and the black baked enamel of the inner door looks ok through the "very clean, streaky glass front door". It works but it ain't pretty.
