Oven Bi-Fold Cover Corian Replacement

Hi All,

I have a Atwood Black 3-Burner Cook Top oven with a Bi-Fold Cover, on our 2013 30" Classic. The Bi-Fold cover is covered with the same material that covers the counter (Corian, Almond Colored with speckles).

I need to replace the Corian material on the Bi-Fold door. Jackson Center have given me the part numbers for the Corian material and the Bi-fold cover. However, she was not able to answer any specific questions.

As things look, I can't see why I would need to purchase a new Bi-Fold cover, since the one I have words and looks fine. Except yet, I can't see how to remove the cover from the Cook Top. It seems to need a special tool.

Also, don't know if I have to buy the Corian in pairs. I only need to replace the front piece. As far as I can tell, the Corian is glued to the Bi-Fold cover. It is attached so well, I am fearful that I might damage it trying to get it off. There are no screws.

Can anyone shed any light on how the Bi-Fold door is removed from the Counter Top and how best to remove the old Corian form the Bi-Fold Cover,
if possible?

Thanks for any help,

Freedomrider

I would suggest you find a Corian dealer in your area, and have them take a look at this.

They may have just the materials you need, and the answers you seek.

They may also be able to do this for you.

Thanks. I did find a solution. It is good to sleep on a problem. I figured out how to remove the Bi-Fold cover. Very simple, just press in the arms and presto. Also, I was informed by a Airstream Dealer (JD Saunders, BTW, great service, as always), the Corian come in pairs at $110. If this is the worst case, I can live with it.

Thanks again for your concern.
