No Buns in this Oven

I have an '84 31' Excella w/Magic Chef Oven (I believe is original, but not certain). Range works fine - I think both the oven thermocouple and oven thermostat/gas supply knob are both bad. Have taken thermocouple apart and the bimetal strip just wont expand regardless of heat put to it. However, even by forcing thermocouple open oven still won't respond to thermostat - just burns without regard to heat setting.

Any suggestions on what's up with this - or best source for a replacement oven?

Suggestion: Take them to an appliance PARTS STORE and see if they can give you somthing to substitute. Good luck

First you can not tell if a thermocouple is working just by putting heat to it ther are no moveing parts it makes a 30millavolts!!!! and you talk about a bimetal strip????????? I dont know how you goabout forcing a thermocouple to open YOU CANT!!!!!!!
