Need a two burner stove top

We are in the middle of an update for our Safari. We want to eliminate the Magic Chef stove/ oven, and put in a 2 burner stove top and a micro. After doing a bunch of searching, about all we can find are match lit stove tops. Hard to find an elctro ignite unit. Sooo... you brave souls that have ditched the stove oven combo ..PLEASE!! what make and model have you turned to and where did you get it?
Thanks for the help...

Seaward Princess

I have a 2 burner cook top and a separate gas oven from Seaward.....Gas Cooktops

The last time I posted this product I was told it was too pricey.....so you are forewarned..but it works beautifully and it is RV approved....it is not a house cooktop.

I used a SMEV on my reno and really like it, piezo ignition, auto shut off and a glass lid that closes down flush, I picked it up from PantherRV. Pics in my "shell off transmogrification" thread if you want to take a look.

This is my first post...

I'm currently a wannabe and we are looking. I would suggest that you try to find a Rinnai. Check out their website. They make a dandy two burner, electronic ignition, brass burners, ss trays. Bullet proof! They make another two burner with a 5500 btu broiler that is the bees knees. By way of a disclaimer, I represented Rinnai for 22 yrs, so my bias is noted, but their products are outstanding. When we get an AS the first mod I will make will be to install the 2 burner with broiler.

Welcome to Airforums, Jackfre! Wishing you good luck finding yourself the trailer of your dreams

I deleted your link, since it leads to an apology from the website, -no such page-.

I note also that the range you point out is a free-standing one, and not made to build in, which is the way ranges fit in Airstreams. Perhaps you have a comment on that.

SMEVs are also easy to obtain my mail order if you can't find one locally; Airstream uses them in the Interstates, so all you have to do is call up your nearest Airstream dealer, and have them order one out of the Interstate Parts Book.

I am puzzled by the removal from their web site. I will check the first of the week with them. Yes, they are free standing, but I have had people build them into their boats, trailers and use them car camping, canning etc. I hope they haven't dropped them. It is not their primary business. Over the years I've used them as gifts to folks and everyone loved them. We'll see. My apologies for making you put the arm on me right out of the gate. I'll try to do better.

Not your fault, in my opinion. However if you want to give me one of those cute stoves for Christmas, who am I to stop you?

Seaward - Princess Two Burner Gas Stove, Drop-in Model 2276

Beautiful, but pricey. Seaward design for the win though.

I have the Smev two and three burner stoves in both my Globetrotter and Tradewind. I have one left that I might part with if someone is interested.

I think using the Smev and a convection microwave is the best combination. It gets rid of the ugly boat anchor that came in my 70's Airstream. Just my opinion.

Contact me if someone is interested r_whiten@hotmail.com

Sorry about posting the picture using Panther RV. I just caught myself thinking maybe that was a no no. If so please delete the picture or my response. I don't want to do any advertising for them. Just trying to give a picture example of the Smev cooktop.
