microwave ovens

I currently own a 25' Safari Se and like many others I'm frustrated by the lack of a microwav oven...I do not wish to replace the current amana stove and over, but would prefer to secure a microwave on the bathroom counter...problem is the size of even the mini micros...I would like to find one that is no longer than 15", 12 inches deep and 9" high..does any one have any input for me.

Thanks, Gerry B

I looked long and hard and never found one less than 10" high.

Tappan .5 cu ft microwave

We had this model on a previous A/S trailer:

Small Microwaves - Small Tappan Microwave Oven for boat, RV and home use - SailorSams.com

It's only 9 5/8" high & we were able to run it using a 1250W inverter.

This microwave was also branded under Origo.

The pantry in the 28' FB International is deeper and a normal microwave is mounted sideways in the pullout pantry IIRC.

We elected the option of a stovetop with the convection microwave underneath. You can preheat it and bake things just as in a normal oven. We use either soft silicone cookwear or pyrex. It's got to be square or small enough to go around on the turntable, so we probably will never attempt cookies. But susie needs it to nuke hotpacks for sore whatevers. Overall we're glad we made this choice -- but Airstream must not have done many of these when they did ours. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f426...-se-44885.html
