microwave oven installation

I have searched the archive for info on this but did not find anything.
We are seeking a late model 25-27ft Classic or Safari and would like to learn how ( where) microwaves have been installed in units that were not equipt with one at the factory.
As I mentioned in my introduction I know a lot abt cruising boats but darn little about R/V's.
Thanks
CCC

our solution to microwave..

we have the 05 25' FB, this solution worked out for us. Bought micro at walmart, secured it inside of overhead cabinet...which is a must. As onetime we got home and found it on the floor, that was before it was strapped down inside of cabinet.

How do you run the power cord? I looks like you cut the bottom ledge of the cabinet to make the MO fit. Did that weaken the cabinet to any degree?

microwave installation..

Here is a pic of the installation. A hole is drilled in back of upper cabinet and cord runs down behind curtain and plugs underneath of dinette table. The cabinet itself is not weakened because of taking out the front piece. The microwave is strapped down to the cabinet...hope that helps you. If not let me know.
