Hey guys another question from this newbie
When I use my microwave while the air conditioner is on it trips the circuit breaker. Is this common or should I have Toscano look at it when I take the AS in for skin replacement. Is something wrong with the wiring? Should they be on separate breakers? It happens everytime the two are on.

DO you have a electric/gas water heater? I have tripped the 30A breaker (main trailer) when using the micro with the AC on. IF you are tripping the AC or the micro breaker then you may have a problem.

Hi, you should be able to use the microwave and air conditioner at the same time. Was it the outside source breaker that kicked or the one in your trailer? A low voltage source could cause this to happen. Or if you have the microwave oven, the air conditioner, and an electric water heater on at the same time; This is too much draw for a 30 amp circuit. Other than that, have each item tested for excessive draw.
With my Limited, I have no choice. The A/C is wired to a switch that redirects the current to the microwave when needed. Impossible to use both at the same time.
Same goes for my 87 34' Excella. There is a factory installed switch located in a cabinet above the stove. If I want to use the microwave, I flip the switch. It cuts power to the air conditioner and activates the microwave.
I can run my AC and Microwave/Convection at the same time without consequence. I do have the 15K Penguin AC/heat pump model. However if I have the water heater on electric, that combined load has sometimes caused campsite site breakers to trip.

Our Excella 25 had a wall switch hidden over the stove in a cupboard that switched power from the A/C to the factory installed microwave over the fridge... We converted that space to storage cabinet, and use compact microwave tabletop unit, but general rule is that the breaker won't carry both microwave (600 to 800 Watts) plus the A/C at 23 Amps +/- to get compressor going, as well as load from power converter/charger feeding 12V systems...

In Theory, there's no difference between Theory and Practice, but in Practice, there is usually a difference...
The breaker on the power pedestal blew a few times when running AC and micro, but the breaker in the rig never did. Now I use an outlet adapter and plug in to the 50A outlet on the pedestal. Looks like the current draw is close to the 30A, but not enough to blow the 50 or the breakers inside.
