Microwave Manual

Hello

Our 1998 Safari is equiped with a ''Frigidaire" convection microwave oven model FM1309B. It was made by LG Electronics serial number ZG65000172. We bought the trailer in 2004 and we did not get a user's manual for the microwave. We've been doing the basics with the microwave but would like to use it to its full capacity.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of this manual? I've browsed the net but can't seem to get anywhere cause the model is too old. I thinks we're at the point where we need a good samaritan to make us a copy.

My wife and I are retired but have not yet joined any camping association including the Airstream gang. We live in Ottawa, Canada and camp mostly with friends.

Thanking you ahead of time

John

Frigidaire Manual Search Results

Frigidaire doesn't have it on-line, but there is a way to request one from them if you follow the instructions in the above link.

If all else fails, go to a store that sells frigidaire microwaves and they will get one for you usually.

Welcome to the forums!

Rich

Thanks Viking. I had already tried the site you recommended before suscribing to Airforums. I've rechecked the model number of my microwave and tried all possible combinations and I'm getting the same answer: "No match found".

I'll try your other suggestion next. I may post the same request in another section of the forums to see what kind of response I get. A few people read my request in the "1998 Safari" section but there were no favorable responses.

Thanks Vinnie

I finally got hold of a live rep here in Ottawa. He did some digging and it seems that the FM1309B model is a 1994 microwave that was later discontinued. There are no more manuals for this.

I guess I'm at the mercy of a good samaritan who could make me a copy. I'm stating to think that my 1998 Safari is the only one equiped with this model of a microwave.

can you post a picture? sometimes manufacturers rebadge products for different companies. someone may have a similar model. even the next model might have similar functions as could the same model made for counter use.

Hello again

Thanks for the internet site Vinnie. I finally got hold of someone there and he can't help me. It would seem the unit was made for the Canadian market so I'll have to dig on this side of the border.

To answer Richie, the wattage is 1.5KW. I've included pictures of the outside and the info plate on the inside.

Hope this helps.

John

ok, that's 850 watts. i'd think a model or two newer would function in a similar manner. i'll see if i can find something to help when i have more time to surf the net over the weekend.

John,

I have a Sharp Convection oven / microwave in our trailer. We HAVE the manual and still cant figure out how to consistently cook food with it...

Sometimes these things are not very intuitive unless you happen to be 12 years old.. then you can program anything!
