Microwave in 2005 28' CCD - Convection?

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell whether the microwave pictured here is convection? I'm trading my 25' (which has both an oven and a microwave) for a 28' and I was dismayed to find it doesn't have an oven. I actually used it (pizzas, cookies, etc...) often enough that I'm going to miss it.

I'll be doing the trade this weekend - the dealership is far enough that I can't go there and inspect before then... (and salesperson isn't in)

If the microwave isn't a convection, then I'm going to have to start sourcing one out.

Thanks in advance!

My wife confirmed that the one in the picture looks exactly like the Sharp microwave/convection oven that came in our 2005 Bambi Safari LS. I'd go outside and check for sure but, for the first time since we bought it, our Airstream is parked at a friend's house for a couple of days.

Yes. It is the Sharp Grill2Convection. It is a microwve/convection/ broiler oven. It is the same model I replaced my regular microwave with. Makes a terrific pizza amomg other things.

Enlarge the first picture in this thread to see ours. Oh yeah ... and pull out your drawers to check the shelf yours sits on.

Doesn't yours say Grill 2 Convection the same way? Our Safari born-on date was 08.08.2005.

I'll bring the jello salad! (gotta be Minnesotan to roll in the aisles on that one)

Thanks for that link - I'll be sure to check things (or better yet - I'll pass it onto the 2nd in command - the husband - for inspection )

And I had to google the jello salad/Minnesota thing... Looks....ummm...interesting? Looks almost as good as poutine!

We had that micro/convection unit in our 2006 Class-A.
I am torn between keeping the oven we have or replacing it with that unit.
So far I haven't missed having a microwave and I think I may be growing fond of the oven.
Though it is a bit of a pain to light.
Dirties more dishes to re-heat on the stove top.
You can bake in that unit with fairly acceptable results.
Sorry for not being much help but the verdict is still out with me on this one.

Manual

What timing! We just bought a replacement for our one that died. If it is the Grill2 Convection, here is the link to manual.
Microwave Oven | Countertop | Carousel | R-820BK | SHARP

We’ve only had it a couple of weeks, so I’m still trying stuff. Like a regular baking sheet won’t fit. A tube of biscuits will fit on a 12” pizza pan.....

Thanks Tracy!

I imagine I'll have to buy the smaller round baking sheets...
