Can you be more specific? Is the pilot light lit? Does it stay lit? Etc...

Oven lighting problem.

I hav e since determined that my problem is the thermo-couple assembly. I am sure this is the wrong name for device, but it will not let gas into burner so it can burn. Joe

We have a 70 overlander and tried lighting it when we first got it and didn't seem to get gas. Can anyone tell me where the cut off would be. I told my husband "don't worry about it I don't plan on cooking" but it just might be nice in the future if the bug to cook hits.

I have two values that need to be open for the stove to work. One is under the top cover. If you pick it up the burner crates fall off and there is a value on the right that controlls burners and oven gas. The other one is under my trailer on the same side. I don't know if this is standard or not but I suspect all have an outside shut off for safety. It takes awhile for the line to clear of air. Don't forget to check all connections for leaks . There may be a reason it's been turned off outside . One of those gas detectors is IMO a must have item.

The stove top has been working just fine. My oven is on the wall on the other side of my sink. Is there another cut off valve or did we just not wait long enough?
