Greetings from a new member!

Does anyone have any issues with replacing the Magic Chef range unit with a gas cooktop (Suburban slide-in model) and a Contoure RV Microwave Convection oven?

I'm a bit concerned with the heat given off by a convection oven that is in close proximity of the gas cooktop.

We hardly ever use the Magic Chef oven, but use a portable microwave quite a bit. We're trying to save space by using the existing oven space with the Contoure microwave/convection unit.

I'm looking at doing the same thing. We had a micro convection before at home and really liked it.
BTW is your sovereign center or rear bath?

I found a replacement convection/microwave unit for my Sovereign that's working well. I've got the rig set up as "off-grid" as possible with a 200+watt 60vdc solar panel/4 x 6vdc deep cycle battery array/2500w inverter. The convection micro unit is powered by the inverter when the battery array is fully charged. Otherwise, I use the Honda 2kw generator.

Since my "oven" cooking expertise is limited, I thought the c/m unit would better suit my baking background and it does. Just know that the baking volume of the c/m unit is significantly smaller than that of a typical RV gas oven.

My unit is an aft bath/center bunk room configuration.

I would like to get rid of my Sharp convection/microwave oven in my Classic 30 ( 2000 ) and install a regular gas oven. Anyone know how ?

If you are getting rid of the Magic Chef range, I would like the 2 panel stainless burner cover. My unit is missing that piece, but I like the range itself.
