Magic Chef cooktop: igniter tubes come loose

We have a Magic Chef gas cooktop. After driving for a day, I usually have to lift the cooktop to reconnect the 3 igniter tubes. See attached images.

Is there any way I can fix this? Our AS is a 1995 so I assume the tubes are the same age. Better to replace them? Not sure what the issue is...

Additionally, when I first opened the cooktop, I found these 2 metal wires laying loose. Do these have a specific reason for being there?

Thanks.

We are also having an issue with one of our tubes coming loose on our 1980 International. And we also found one of those wires in our stove top. We weren't sure what to do with it because it is not the same shape as the wires that hold the burner covers to the stove top.
