We have a '67 Tradewind w/ a Magic Chef 4-burner. There is a main gas shut-off to the stove where others have reported (left side, towards the front and under the porcelainized pan) plus a burner standing pilot regulating screw and an oven standing pilot regulating screw. If you want to use the oven, keeping that pilot operational is a necessity. I found that I can keep the burner pilot off and manually light the burners as I need them.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to keep my oven burner lit after it self-lights (off the pilot, of course).
