We made another craigslist purchase this weekend. A local ad for some 1964
Airstream parts including a stove (he had a water heater but we didn't see any other parts...) We went and looked at it, and while the color is a bit strange, it didn't really put us off. The oven is in amazingly clean condition. I don't think it can ever have been used. I wouldn't even say the top has been used much. We're going to see if we can get some new knobs and see how well the front plate cleans up. That and the back vent are the only things with corrosion on it.
The name plate is missing off the front. When we opened it up it says Premier Stove Company, Belleville, Illinois - just across the river from us.
Does anyone know if Airstream use these at one time? I tried to find it on their website with their vintage files, but could only find references to a stove with 3 or 4 burners. Now, I'm just guessing here, but I don't think this is original to the 1964
Airstream it is said to have come out of. I've done quite a bit of searching and can't find a stove by Premier on the forums.
If anyone has a Premier Stove, I'd love to see a photo of it!
