Help ! In need of a burner tube.
Hi All, I suppose this might go in "dumb A of the month" but, I digress.
I am in need of a burner tube for my refer. I was adjusting the thermocouple and the wrench slipped. The result is that I cracked my burner tube where the air holes are . It is still in one piece but I am afraid that the vibration from the road may finish it off.
Does anyone have an old Dometic around for parts ? My Model is MC16c.
I'm sure it was used on other models but don't know which ones.
Any help is greatly appreciated !!

Chris
here's two sources that may be able to ship out the part.
RVmobile is where I got my re-manufactured fridge from up here in WA.
http://www.rvmobile.com/
The other is an RV junkyard in the Olympia area
Singlton's RV

Hope this helps!
Marc
Let me know if shipping is out of the question for RVmobile (I can't see why not). I could pick it up and bring it to BB if needed.

Bad luck! If you can't get it fixed by the beach bash - you can store your champagne and strawberries in our fridge.

Thatnks for checking ! Even if I had to buy a burner assembly, that would be ok too. Right now I am using a burner assembly out of a Dometic that is 3 yrs. newer than mine. It seems to work ok. Bolted right on. Just a different design. It is also another one from the MC16 series. But I believe that the refer I scavenged for parts would probably work too.
I am still looking for the burner tube.
So if anyone out there has an old gas only Dometic or another refer that is dead with the burner tube pictured in post #1. I would like to buy it if at all possible.

RV cool , I have the dometic RM660 ,you helped me with the gaskets .
The freezer freezes and the door closes on its own .My question is that
the fridge works great ,gas or electric ,go to the ralley (gas is on) seems
to be not near as cold when weve setup and are camping ,either gas or electric (was real cold on both) .then after 4 days (fridge is cold ,freezer is good ) get home ,gas still on ,next day go out to the trailer to empty the fridge and the Coke cans are very cold ,freezer freezing better ! now it was
warm at the lake ,not hot ,cool nights ,here in SB CA its 68 degrees and
so its weird .The freezer before we left home was very cold on electric .
Any ideas ? I was wondering if the fridge was really full (it was ) could that
cause it ,sounds goofy i know ,or I thought a fan to circulate or blow heat up the vent to the roof ,try to get a cool airflow behind the fridge.Ok then all
info I can think of to give .Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
My local guy will want me to buy a new fridge .Can you provide the link info
to the RV place as you had before ,another shelf somehow was broke when
we opened the fridge upon campground arrival .Oh and we tried to have the trailer level as possible.
Thanks alot ,
Scott of scottanlily
