HELP! I have busted the burner on my MAGIC CHEF!

I am refurbishing the original Magic Chef range in my 1968 TW. I belive the part I need is called a "top burner head". I have not had any luck with searching by my model # - TL727F.

Any suggestions as to where I can replace this? Many I've found on-line don't match up!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!

part, what part?

Post photo if possible. Exactly what parts do you need? The aluminum burner ring? the whole burner unit? Which burner? I have a 64 Magic Chef I parted out and may have what you need.

Broken burner

SEQUOIACOAST, I have a complete Magic Chef stove from a 1968 Tradewind that I obtained just for spare parts. Which burner is it? PM me an address to send it to and you can have it for what you think it is worth to you plus shipping. Let me know if you are interested. Ed

Hi Ed,

Have you got an aeration bowl that looks like the one in the attached photo? It's just over 8.5" in diameter with a center whole that is just over 3.5". I need this for the Magic Chef stove in our '64 Overlander. Not sure if that would be the same as in the '68 or not.

Thanks

How about the pilot assembly?

For those of you parting out the old magic chef,
I'm on the hunt for the Harper-Wyman pilot assembly from the older ones.
Its a funky pilot assembly with 2 hoses and the thermocouple going to it.
If anyones got one to sell, color me interested

Do you have a pic of what you need ? It would really help here. I have a small assortment of pilots. What year of coach are you working on ?

I got the part I needed from a fellow forum member and then had trouble with leaky valves - which I started a different thread about. I finally fixed the valves and all was well, but there was still gas coming from inside the oven. Could be the pilot... I sort of decided I'm not that confident in my ability to restore the stove, and had many other projects... so the stove sits.. looking beautiful with it's new stainless panel, and all new gas lines... and my husband wants a new one.

So I'm going to be selling it - have know idea what I could get for it - hopefully what I put into it; I know someone wants it... for the original factor. I just don't want to put any more money into it, when hubby wants to go new.

Oven sensor thermal coupler wire

I have a 1968 Safari with Magic Chef oven that the sensor wire has failed. The repair place I use can't find a replacement part. Anyone have one? I don't have a photo of it but might be able to get one. I know nothing about this kind of stuff and am hoping to be the middle person and just find the part for them . The model # is TL727F and the serial # is 99882. Thanks for any advice!

Yvette, which sensor failed? The thermocouple? Those are available as a standard generic part. If your repair place can't find it I'm not sure we can help much without knowing more about which part it is.
