Help find replacement cook top for Magic Chef

I am looking for a replacement cooktop for my 1966 Magic Chef oven, I like the looks of this older unit.
Any Idea's, or any one out there have one or a whole stove they would be willing to part with.
This is rusted enough that it has deep pits in it and where I have been able to polish off the rust it is black. Is there anyway to at least make this look presentable.

I don't have anything of that vintage, would it be possible to disassemble it and have the major components powder coated/rechromed? (assuming it still works) Another possibility is to find an apartment unit?

I believe that the standards have changed for RV stoves and the current cooktops don't have the BTU output of the older ones.

I have used the stainless steel paint after a good wire brushing. not perfect but then not bad for a38 and 36 year old cooktop

The cooktop and oven work perfectly, I thought about having it chromed but that sound expensive.
tfbeitz: Where did you get your stainless steel paint, do you have any pictures of your work,

Our '71 Tradewind has similar problems...

How hot do these cooktops get? If someone had one of those infrared temperature sensors gadgets, examining the temp. of the top after boiling water in a large pan would be a good experiment.

There are high temp. powder coat paints available if you want it professionally done.

VHT makes some good high temp. aerosols if you're a DIY sort of person.

Mine looked similar to yours. I took mine and had it powder coated. Car restorers use powder coating for engines. You can get any color you like. I had mine powder coated to look like metal. They put your stove top in a machine that sand blasts every bit of rust off. Then they powder coat. It will look like brand new. Mine still looks like new and we could not be happier. It was not expensive to have done. As a matter of fact I took several pieces of metal in all at once. I had my fart fan screen done also.

Good looking used stove and oven from Airstream

Just noticed in Austin Craigslist there is a nice stove pulled and clean from an Airstream. Search Airstream in the For Sale area of Austin TX. Prtice asked was $200.
