Free to a good home: '77Magic Chef stove

Anyone want a Magic Chef stove/oven removed from a 1977 Overlander (kind thnaks to Buttercup)?

I acquired it for parts for my '64 but it's not the same.
I'd like to pass it on to someone who might use it or parts.
Hate to land fill it.
It needs to go before winter rains/snow.

It's in fair/good shape. Untested.
Located in Foresthill Calif, 50 miles north of Sacramento.

Free to a good home.

Cool! Musical Magic Chef!! Sorry it didn't work for you especially after you came all that way to get it.
I would be curious to see what happens to it next. And if that be the dump, so be it. That's where I was going to send it but it still does work (or did) and could be parted out if need be.

Safari64,

Could you take a photo of the gas valves for the top burners? The new MagicChefs have a heat problem with the center valve--it locks in position when it gets hot, which is a real danger. Maybe those valves are suitable replacements.

Zep,

All of the valves worked when I gave it to Safari. The valves turn free and they all worked. It was just an old stove and we wanted a newer one.

I do have a few pictures at http://overlander.archnevada.com/index.php?replacestove.

The valves are real simple plug types if I remember correctly.

I'll be in CA in a few days. I'll try to take pictures of the stove then.

Thanks Buttercup...even though the stove didn't work out for me visiting you two made the trip worthwhile.

And your old heater now works great!

I am very interested in the stove. Is it still available? I live about 75 miles SE of Sacramento near Sonora.

thanks
