Convection/microwave Heat Question

I recently replaced the stove/oven in my 1999 23ft Safari with a cook top and now would like to buy a Convection Microwave to install in the space formerly occupied by the oven. I've read that a lot of heat is generated by these devices. I feel confident that i have the recommended clearances but i'm concerned about the propane feed line at the back of the compartment. Should I insulate this pipe? If yes how?

We have a convection oven with a propane stove top combination like you describe, but I don't know how the gas line is routed or insulated.

Chasmorgan. Do you have a pic of what you ended up doing? What brand of top did you get? I am dealing with a '79 sov. and would like to get rid of the furnace/stove/oven and go to an electric fireplace / catalytic heater / cooktop / convection microwave set up. The fireplace we are looking at will heat when plugged and a cat. heat for boondocking. An oven seems overkill to us if a convect mircowave will do it. Any help/opinion would be great

I purchased a three burner cook top from PPL in Houston. I also purchased the cover. Hope this helps! The stove top is by Wedgewood.

I ordered my trailer with the convection/microwave combination rather than the oven. (It really is a thermal convection/microwave, but we won't quibble.) You can find a number of comments on this arrangement here on the Forums. Think it's a very personal preference. Some people love the often as you don't need 110V. Others never use their oven. After a year with this setup, I am more than satisfied. It works great in either mode...and does an amazing job with a steak (when I'm not doing it outside on the grill, that is). Also, does a fantastic job with brownies, etc. In terms of heat, I haven't noticed any issue with it.
