for anyone contemplating a microwave installation into an upper cabinet similat to my 25FC I recommend doing the following.
1. Reinforce the bottom of the cabinet with a 3/4" sq alum tubing along the bottom of the shelf at the front edge. I pluged the ends with 4" of oak/epoxy then screwed the cabinet end panels solidly into the oak plugs of the tubing.
2. I then installed a diapharm next to the microwave which is screwed to the framing on top and to the alum tube on the bottom.
3. I also fabed a bamboo shelf to sit the microwave on bolting it from the bottom through the stove vent (all hidden), installing inset nuts into the shelf.
4. Cutting the door was actually quite easy. I did it inside face down on my table saw stopping short of the corners and cutting them carefully with a fine tooth hand saw then sanding smooth. The cabinet door is hollow so you have to glue in plugs to close up the openings you create by cutting it.
The dinette cabinet is shaped exactly like the cushion it replaces only taller going down to the base plate of the dinette seat. We use it for dry cerial storage which we haven't found any other place for.
