2007 Safari, Problems
Any ideas what might cause the Tappan Microwave oven to trip the breaker and cannot reset?
Thanks
Larry

Could simply be a bad breaker.
To check, take out the 4 phillips screws holding the microwave in place, pull out the microwave, and plug it into another outlet. If all goes well there, it is almost certainly a bad breaker.

Larry, can you unplug the microwave then reset? This will tell you if it is in the MW or the wiring.

Pulled out Microwave
OK, I pulled out the microwave and it works fine outside that outlet. The circuit breaker just flops back in the off position. Can't set to on. I plugged in a small fan which of course does not work in the microwave outlet. Also plugged in a circuite tester and has not indication other then dead I guess.

On one breaker, it stops half way. It you flip it up at the half way point, it won't reset. You have to hold it all the way down and then flip up (unlike the others...)

OK, we are back on the microwave. Learned alot from you folks. Did not know about how to reset circuit breaker. Never would have figured that out.
Glad I removed the oven to see what was behind it and how that was fitted, etc. Thanks again

So the microwave works now in the AS? That is good news. Do you know why it threw the circuit breaker and has it done it again? Mine would do that occassionally depending on what else was running, say the AC or a ceramic heater.
Congratulations on your new Safari Larry!

Breaker
Not sure why it tripped. I did a fast stop and restart changing settings on oven. No airconditioning running at the time. Hooked up to campground 30 amp shore power. Works not OK in my driveway plugged in to my 30 amp outlet. I think the only thing on the breaker is the Microwave.
