We have the original 1964 Magic Chef 4 burner stove but our stove repair technician can't seem to fix the gas regulator/switch ( we don't know the part number). My husband wants to give building a new gasket a try. I've searched for replacement parts but I'm also thinking of buying a new stove. I just don't like the looks or the quality of the new stoves. Does anyone have a magic source for buying replacement parts for a vintage RV stove?
I'm sorry. I don't know the real name of the item. The technician calls it a switch! Here are some pictures. The one that is an issue is the one in tube in the center that delivers gas to the the burners.
Do all 4 burners light and adjust with the individual burner valves
The large control valve (third from the left) appears to be the oven burner control.
Is this the one giving you trouble?
I'm not sure since the stove is still in the shop. But thank you for the name of that part. I'm going to ask my husband about where the gas is leaking. Someone else suggested teflon tape. I'll post again when I get some new information.
