Which Dometic to buy?

I have decided to replace the fridge in my 54 Flying Cloud with a modern Dometic. Current fridge sits in a modified opening smaller than the original. It appears that the original fridge/opening was 40 or 41 inches high. The two units I am considering are the RM2510 and the RM2551. In addition to being dimensional a bit different, the 2510 has bottom mounted controls and the 2551 has top mounted. I think both are electronic ignition. Anyone have either unit and care to comment?

I have had 3 Dometics and none have ever worked above 80 degrees outside. Those that i know that have Norcolds don't seam to have that problem.

Others hopefully will comment but at this point i would never buy another Dometic.

I think it has to do more with the insulation of the box than the actual cooling unit. Perhaps the cooling units are too small for the box.
Getting the heat away from the back of the unit is critical. But that is hard to do when the outside temps get above 80 or so. Warm air rises, but it doesn't rise well into air that is as warm or warmer.
With the advent of better batteries and inverters and solar. I see the ammonia refers becoming a thing of the past. Many large RV's are using conventional refers today.

Decided to go with Norcold N410. Will report back when in service.
