What is this line?

I got my used trailer today and did an inspection and noticed this line was busted in 2 places (see pic), line is in the Frig vent access (left side of trailer). Is it a drip line for frig cause it has several holes in the end and terminates at access door. Is this an easy fix?

Without a picture any answer could be seriously off base. Try "Go Advanced" again, upload your picture file and then select "Preview." You will know if your file successfully migrated to the site before posting.

That said, it sounds like you are asking about the defrost condensation drip line and, if I'm correct, it is as it should be.

That looks like the tube that directs condensate water out of the refrigerator, down through the open compartment and through the "floor."

Yours appears to be broken. If that's correct... the water will drip onto the floor of the exterior refrigerator area. You don't want condensate on the floor of the compartment. The tube needs to be routed through the floor. The small black plastic end keeps critters out of the tube. There should also be a screen or grommet or something to keep critters from coming up through the hole in the floor where the tube protrudes through the floor. You could probably put some sealant around the tube where it passes through the floor if needed.

New pic attached, looks like it terminated at access door. Broken tube doesn't go through subfloor. Hum, so this is not the way the factory installed it? I suppose a quick fix is to run a tube over the broken connection and terminate it like this one till i figure out how to get frig out.

yep

that original drip tubing gets brittle and does crack and break with age. it terminates just like mine does as installed by the factory when new. a better choice of tubing is this imho . so check this out and save that little end piece that blocks entry of unwanted critters to the tube as you will use it again.

Condensate drain tube

Jumboscott, These days you can replace that flexible drain with the same sized tubing used in condensate lines from furnaces and air conditioning coils. It is available at every big box store like Home Depot, Lowes, Menards etc. and most hardware stores. Just follow the tube up to where it connects to the refer and buy enough to route it down thru the existing hole in the floor. It really should go out thru the bottom of your belly pan. They make a fitting the goes into the tubing at the end that reduces the size of the opening to keep critters out. It is copper and fits in the tubing. Then seal the area around the tubing where it passes thru your floor. After seeing your second pic it does terminate at the refer access door but it would be better to route it thru the floor and out of your way. Do Not place a tubing over the old tube as it is brittle and will fail and allow the new tube to fall off. Just replace the entire tubing top to bottom. Hope this helps, Ed
