Has anyone taken a vintage fridge door and attempted to mount it to a modern fridge? (with modifications of course...)
I would like to preserve the look of our trailer by using the old door, but I could care less about the guts of the fridge (ammonia system leaks, etc.) It seems like some fabrication would be involved, but not an impossible task.
John,
I was thinking of doing the same thing but I don't have a vintage fridge door to make fit. Should be able to be done without too much trouble. I think finding a door that is the right size will be the difficult part.

another option would be to keep the fridge and use a modern 12v holding plate or other cooling system made for marine use in converting ice boxes to refriderators. any marine store will have several options..Adler Barbour is one
