Restoration of '76 refrigerator

Wondering if anyone knows of a Dometic refrigerator restoration contact for the pacific northwest? I live in Washington and have a 1976 A/S with the original dometic fridge. I'm interested in keeping the old fridge and having it restored. Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Jason

RV Mobile. He's in Everett. Haven't used him, but others have been happy with his work. Lots of info on his site.

cheers,

Why bother? The new Dometics are so much more efficient.

I'm posting this so that in the future if others in the area are looking for help with their Dometic refrig they are a resource! I stumbled upon this posting on Craigslist...

"I sale and repair Norcold, Dometic, & other RV fridges. Now with a 2-year mfg warranty on cooling units. I have several rebuildable fridges for sale. Reasonable prices. I have several years experience. Please try to have make and model of fridge when calling or emailing me so I can give you accurate price. Rebuilding your fridge is much cheaper than buying a new one. Don't be fooled when a dealership tells you it can't be fixed. If you are interested in new fridges, I can get those for you as well. Cash only, no checks or trading. Please email or call Larry at 503-964-1263 for pricing or any questions. Please leave me a message if you get my voicemail. Thank you!"

One reliable source is RVMobile.com in Everett, WA 425 355-1170. I called him about my 1979 Dometic RM100 after I had looked up many sources for refurbished cooling units and couldn't find any listed for that model. He said it was too old to bother repairing. Too many other things could fail due to age, so putting $475 into a new cooling unit along with my time could easily be frustrating and not worth it.
Replacements don't fit my dimensions quite right either! Rats!
