Refrigerator Problem

Last yaer my Dometic RM 77 started to freeze everything in the refrigerator when on AC. I figured that it must be the thermostat and installed a new one. This didn't work. The refrigerator compartment is still at 28 degrees.I did have a problem when I first purchased the airstream. The terminal block was damaged and the refrigerator on/off switch did not work. I then by-passed the switch and all ran well for several months until the freezing started.
Any suggestions on what is wrong and how to fix it?

Perhaps you bypassed the thermostat when you "hot-wired" the on/off switch? I suggest you call Dometic customer support at:

thanks for the dometic phone number, i'll give them a call. I don't understand why it doesn't worlk. after i by-passed the terminal block, it worked fine for 3 months then went south. maybe the terminal block is finished.
